Definition

    Synchronized skating teams consist of 12-20 members performing elements in unison. Programs are judged on technical difficulty, creative precision of movements, etc. Most synchronized skaters are also ice dancers or freestyle skaters.
     The University of Wisconsin Synchronized Skating Team competes in the collegiate division at USFSA Nationals. A collegiate team consists of 12 to 20 skaters. Skaters must be enrolled in a college or university as a full-time student. Skaters may also skate on a Senior and/or Junior Team provided that they have met the requirements set forth in CR 48.02 (A)(B) of the USFSA rulebook. There will be no short program. Program duration: 4 1/2 minutes.
