Definition

Synchronized skating teams consist of 8-20 members performing elements in unison. Programs are judged on technical difficulty, creative precision of movements, etc. Most synchronized skaters are also ice dancers or freestyle skaters.

New since the 2008-2009 season:
The University of Wisconsin Synchronized Skating Team will be fielding two teams competing in the Collegiate and the Open Collegiate divisions.

Team Descriptions

Collegiate

A team of 12-20 skaters. Skaters must be enrolled in a college or degree program as full-time students and have passed the juvenile moves in the field test. The program is around 4:00 minutes and is judged under IJS

Open Collegiate

A team of 8-16 skaters. Skaters must be enrolled in a college or degree program.
The program is around 3:00 minutes and is judged on 6.0.
