Definition
Synchronized skating teams consist of 12-20
members performing elements in unison. Programs are judged on technical
difficulty, creative precision of movements, etc. Most synchronized
skaters are also ice dancers or freestyle skaters.
The University of Wisconsin Synchronized
Skating Team competes in the collegiate division at USFSA Nationals.
A collegiate team consists of 12 to 20 skaters. Skaters must be enrolled
in a college or university as a full-time student. Skaters may also
skate on a Senior and/or Junior Team provided that they have met the
requirements set forth in CR 48.02 (A)(B) of the USFSA rulebook. There
will be no short program. Program duration: 4 1/2 minutes.
